Job Title: Planogram Specialist

Job Summary:
The Planogram Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales in retail stores. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain planograms for various retail locations to ensure optimal product placement, product assortment, and space allocation.
2. Collaborate closely with the merchandising team, store operations, and vendors to gather necessary data and insights for planogram development.
3. Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for planogram improvements that drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
4. Conduct regular store visits to assess planogram compliance, identify issues, and provide recommendations for adjustments.
5. Work closely with the visual merchandising team to ensure planograms align with brand guidelines and visual standards.
6. Utilize planogram software and other relevant tools to create detailed planograms, ensuring accuracy in product placement, shelf labeling, and pricing information.
7. Monitor inventory levels, product performance, and sales metrics to make data-driven adjustments to planograms as needed.
8. Train store associates on planogram implementation and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure compliance with planogram standards.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices related to planogram development and merchandising techniques.
Required Skills:
1. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
2. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
3. Proficient in using planogram software and other relevant tools (e.g., JDA Space Planning, Apollo, ProSpace).
4. Solid understanding of retail merchandising principles and strategies.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships.
6. Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
7. Strong knowledge of retail industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in planogram development.
8. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative while also being a team player.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail merchandising, planogram development, or a similar role.
3. Proficient in using planogram software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
4. Knowledge of retail space management principles and practices.
5. Familiarity with retail industry standards and regulations.
6. Strong understanding of customer behavior and market trends.
7. Ability to travel to various store locations as needed.
